RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
 

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors degree and ideally come from a consultancy background with risk experience working or from other management company. A minimum of 2 years of Risk Management experience is required. We are looking for ambitious and experienced candidates to hire into our risk management team based in Milan.

Prior experience of private equity, energy renewable, credit risk and loss forecasting, stress testing, model validation, data analytics and/or data management is especially valued.

The candidate will be part of the Risk Management team of the SGR, reporting directly to the Head of Risk Management. He/She will work closely with line management and control functions and will collaborate across businesses and functions to improve the identification, measurement, management, reporting and controls in governance, risk management and internal control environments. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop and advance within risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities
Analysis and Investigation: Undertake various data analyses, investigations and modelling of business issues to improve the measurement of the risk profile both at assets and at AIFs level. 
Provide advice to the business with an emphasis on the impact and application of risk management requirements.
Reporting quantitative information: using data to inform business decisions and to evaluate the risk profile of the SGR.
Analyze key risk indicators (KRI) to identify and escalate appropriate issues for management attention.
Produce periodic management reports.
Produce ad-hoc risk reporting by extracting, cleansing and analyzing data

Key Requirements
A bachelors degree in economics or in a quantitative analytical discipline
Previous experience in one of the above functions
Operational Risk knowledge with an ability to identify risks
Strong ability to document and communicate in written form
Strong communication skills
Managing delivery of development tasks
Technical knowledge might include: data extraction and manipulation from balance sheets;
Good problem solving skills 
Curiosity and inventiveness
